Reiki is the name used for Universal Energy.

It is a loving and gentle, yet powerful Universal gift for us all.

Is Reiki for me?

Reiki balances your entire system, physically, mentally emotionally and spiritually. It evokes the body’s own ability to heal.

Reiki can help with…

  • Stress or overwhelm

  • Sleeping difficulties

  • Trouble concentrating

  • Preparation before an operation

  • Support recovering from surgery

  • An existing illness (Reiki can be a beautifully complement conventional treatments)

  • Feeling more connected to yourself

  • Pain relief

  • Calming a busy mind

  • Relaxation after a big event e.g moving house or having a child

  • Reducing side effects after radiation and chemotherapy

  • Reducing anxiety

These days there are many demands on our time and bodily system. This means that it is now more important than ever to restore our body back to balance. Our bodies want to be healthy. We need to create and maintain the right environment for this. Often it is not until our bodies become sick or we experience pain that we start paying attention. This does not have to be the case.
Why wouldn’t you want to make an investment into your own wellbeing?

What happens during a Reiki Treatment?

Each Reiki session is customised to your needs at the time. We begin with a discussion about why you came to see me, before moving to a comfortable treatment table. You will be fully clothed and can choose whether to lie on your front or back. Most people prefer to be covered by a blanket but this is optional. Your part in this is to relax as best as possible.
You can also decide whether to have music in the background or some beautiful scents in the room.
Most people report a Reiki treatment as being deeply relaxing yet invigorating. For me, I often have a deep feeling of nourishment and safety. It feels like I am coming home to my true self.
Reiki can be given with either the hands on or off the body. Intimate parts of the body will not be touched. The first Reiki treatment will take approximately 1.5 hours. Afterwards we will spend some time to exchange our experiences. Follow up treatments will be 1hr long.
When a Reiki treatment is physically finished, it does not mean the Reiki Energy stops flowing straight away. It is therefore important to give yourself time and space to allow the treatment to integrate. I advise not to rush around straight after. If you are new to Reiki, it is my recommendation you book 3 Reiki treatments within 2-2.5 weeks.

Distance Healing

But I don’t live in Auckland. No problem. Universal time and space is not linear so Reiki can be given and received over distance beautifully. If you are too far away for a Reiki treatment, we will make a time and date that works for the both of us. During the treatment, you need to create a comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. This allows you to fully enjoy and absorb the beautiful Reiki Energies. Some people feel that a distance healing session is even more powerful than a hand on session. These sessions will last about 30 min.

Testimonials

I have always been a believer in Reiki. After I had a massive stroke which paralysed my left side and caused neurological pain in some of my joints. Elisabeth made a huge difference to my quality of life. I have always had a deep-seated anxiety which is also been allayed by Elisabeth’s Reiki treatments. I regard Elisabeth as my Angel. She listens to me and guides me in her gentle way.

Bobbi

Thank you for the lovely Reiki session this morning. It is always a great pleasure to receive the Reiki energy and I felt great afterwards.

Leen

Reiki is in my family for years, my mother used to help lots of people with Reiki, but I never understood exactly how it worked. So, talking to Elisabeth I had started to understand about Reiki, how Reiki could help me and other people around me. First, I did level 1 training. During the training Elisabeth explains the technique very well, how to use the Energy with common issues, what you can expect when practising, tips and whatever you are curious about. I love that Elisabeth has so much knowledge about life, healing processes, good food, using nature to heal and she is happy to share. So, we pay just for the Reiki training, but you get much more. And the food she provides is nutritious and delicious. So of course, I came back to Reiki level 2 training and I recommend Elisabeth to all my friends now.

How does Reiki work?

The Reiki practitioner allows Reiki Universal Energy to flow through them to you (channelling).
As Reiki Energy is Omniscient, it will flow to the parts of your body that are imbalanced, blocked or depleted of Energy.
Reiki creates a deep relaxing feeling which invokes the powerful healing abilities of our body. The Reiki Energy will adjust to your needs, only giving you right amount of Energy you can handle at the time. It is always gentle, yet can be very powerful. You will always be safe.

Reiki works with in conjunction with any other treatment.

5 Principles of Reiki

Reiki has 5 Principles given by Mikao Usui Sensei as a guideline to live and practise by:

Just for today

  • I will let go of anger
  • I will let go of worry
  • I will be grateful for my many blessings
  • I will be kind to others and myself
  • I will do my work honestly

Can Reiki help my pets?

Absolutely, this can be done one on one or over distance.
Our pets will self-regulate the treatment and walk away when they know they’ve had enough Reiki.
Like with us, after a Reiki session has finished, the Reiki energy still resonates for some time so give them space to integrate.

Costs

One off Session 60 min – $85.00
3 sessions paid in advance 60 min each – $210.00 (this can be a combination of Reiki or EFT)

I am a member of Reiki NZ and adhere by their rules of practise and Code of Ethics.

Where did Reiki originate?

Reiki came from Japan and it is a gift from the Universe for all of us. In different countries, Reiki comes under different names. “Chi” in China, “Prana” in India and “Mana” in Hawaii to name a few.
Reiki is:

  • Omnipresent – everywhere at the same time.
  • Omnipotent – infinite potentials and possibilities.
  • Omniscient – Infinite wisdom and knowledge.

Through the internet, more people have become aware of different healing modalities that can help with their conditions. Reiki can be as an addition to other treatments, or used as a preventative tool. Reiki is non-invasive and rebalances your energy system. Most importantly, it can be learned by anybody. It is a tool you have readily available to you day and night to restore balance.
Personally, I have found that through practising Reiki, I feel more balanced and calm from deep within.
